PACIFIC COAST SCENIC BYWAY - OREGON

We have travelled back to the ocean, (Roy and sea go together like Wallace & Gromit) and headed north along the Oregon 101 stopping at pretty viewpoints, we wanted to stop at Bullards Beach State Park but by the time we got there it was full. The Ranger says its still summer here and that's why people are still filling the sites and we thought everything stopped after Labor Day!
Weather has changed and today we had 3 spots of rain, the first since we arrived 4 weeks ago. the temperature had dropped 20o to 15oC but at least there is no fog. We have travelled down this coast before in rain and fog and it was a wish to see it in sunshine.

I cannot let this day go by without sending all our love, hope, prayers and positive thoughts to a very dear friend who we spoke with this morning. His news was not good but we continue to believe that there is much power in prayer and positivity.
It has been an emotional day as we travelled along, thinking our thoughts and looking at wonderful sights but we will continue to enjoy our travels.....and search for Coulter pines!

  1. Thanks for the pics - I remember this bit of the coast, go much further North and it will be new territory to us. These are very pretty pictures. T&S
