HELLS CANYON OREGON SCENIC BYWAY AND INTO IDAHO

We had quite a day when we arrived in La Grande and got wifi, some very sad news from our special friends and news that our tenant has given notice, this has made it easy for us as we will now sell our rental house and as Roy says he can stop thinking about the chance of keeping the rig and still travelling over here.

Remember going up here TelSal to beautiful Joseph?

near Copperfield and Oxbow Dam

After getting some new tyres on the trailer we left for Baker City then off to Hells Canyon Oregon Scenic Byway, passing Oregon Trail National Interpretive Center and the junction to Joseph - places we visited with TelSal last year - happy memories!
This time we took a new road towards Hells Canyon but did not go to the very end as it would have been a 46 mile round trip. We drove along the Snake River which was so pretty and came across a site just over the river into Idaho, McCormick Park, $14 with electric and wifi! Its in the middle of nowhere and so peaceful. It is still hot and sunny 30oC we have been here 5 weeks and had one day with a few sprinkles - no wonder there are so many wildfires.
