Bless
him, Roy tried everything, we decided that if it failed when we got
back from our hike we would probably buy a cheap one as it would be
worthwhile considering the price you pay on a private site to that on
a basic site with generator. It was a frosty night so we think genny
only likes warm weather.
AMPHITHEATER LAKE |
We
drove to the trail-head and hiked up and up for 5 miles and 3000 feet
to the pretty Surprise Lake and Amphitheater Lake, sun came out and
it was warm. Took us 3 hours to get up there and 2 hours to get down.
A great hike! And the generator started when we got back! So I
suggested we wrap her up for the night and see if she will start in
the morning.
LAKES TAGGERT AND BRADLEY ON WAY DOWN
TETONS
Guess
what? Our lovely old generator started this morning – Roy says it
was not because of my idea to keep her warm but because the weather
was not so cold! Guess again? - oh yes, not just one mouse this time
but two!
Our
last day at Gros Ventre campground as it closes for the season but
because I would like to do another trail we are moving 10 miles up
the road for 2 nights to a campsite at the side of Lower Slide Lake
which is still open but they have turned the water off so they don't
charge – Roy's favourite price!
We
had a lovely loop walk along Jenny Lake to Hidden Falls then into
Jackson Hole for great burgers at Liberty.
