OUR LAST DAY IN MAUI

Presented with our Kukui Nut lei at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel

We flew out of Maui at 9pm on Sunday so spent the day watching a surfing competition and spotting humpback whales from the headland again. We did try to get on another whale watching trip but all booked up as a huge cruise liner was in.
The whales performed for us with one slapping its tail 10 times, another giving us a wave with its pectoral fin, they're about 10 ft long and a calf playing at the surface for ages.
We were both so sad to leave these beautiful, isolated islands - they have truly been a tropical sensation.

So as they say - A hui hou - until we meet again - And we most certainly will try to return to this fabulous state of Hawaii.

We are now in our trailer at Lake Mead near Las Vegas, sat in the rain and wind. We will move tomorrow!

Serenading us as he presents us with our Kukui nut lei
