THE HANA HIGHWAY - MAUI

Today we drove the famed Hana Highway, it twists and turns for 52 miles along the coast, negotiating some 600 curves and passing over 54 bridges. Not for the faint hearted, it was a stunningly rugged coastline with beautiful tropical rainforest and many waterfalls. Our journey ended at the south part of the Haleakala National Park then we had to do it all again! The road round the island deteriorates and hire cars are not allowed. A long day ended with a lovely meal of Mahi Mahi Fish.
Bed early as up at 5am tomorrow to go whale watching - Whoopeee!
