We have been fortunate to have visited Cape Canaverel last year which we found fascinating so will give Houston a miss. Hurrah - says Anne (I hate cities).

All the houses are built on stilts, at certain places along the road the ocean looks higher than us! Roy in seventh heaven again with all the birds.

Weather is nothing to write home about - walk on the beach this morning saw me in long trousers, hoodie, gilet and gloves! Its about 14oC and cloudy.

We left on the Bolivar Ferry from Galveston to Bolivar Peninsula, a free 20 minute ride and spent the afternoon at a bird sanctuary - mainly looking for birds, they like us, seemed to be feeling the cold and were hiding.
Heading into Louisiana soon and some sun hopefully.
