64TH BIRTHDAY IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

Me with my Country music hero - well I can pretend - it is my birthday
Had a great birthday visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, so much history it was awesome and overwhelming. Liked the feature on Patsy Cline and also Bakersfield Sound but it was all wonderful.

Country Music Hall of Fame - built like a Treble Clef

Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Broadway - great inside!

Roy Rogers yellow boots!

Moved on to see the Ryman Auditorium which was built as the Union Gospel Tabernacle back in 1892. Became the Grand Ole Opry till they built a bigger place. Its still used as a theatre and they say it has the best ever acoustics.

We then had a saunter down Broadway popping into all the live music bars - superb! We would still be there if it hadn't started to rain.

My day was complete - we had a lovely meal at the "Cock of The Walk" so named after the toughest man aboard each boat going down the Cumberland River, he wore a red turkey feather in his hat. It was an unwritten custom that one red feather must challenge another thus the arrival of a large fleet meant many a bloody battle.
We had no battle to contend with - just corn bread, pickled onions, coleslaw, Fried Catfish Fillet, Riverfries and hushpuppies washed down with Bud - result - full!
A perfect day! Thank you Roy xx
