LEAVING THE GULF

Into Louisiana via free ferry, spending the night at Rutherford Beach - dry camping for free. Peaceful site on the beach, sounds of the ocean,
then all hell let loose with ATVs and motorbikes! We took a walk to bird watch and give them chance to wear themselves out - they kept
going till midnight with music! Still it was fun camping on the beach.

Pintail refuge - one of many!

Heading north we were sad to leave the Gulf, we stopped at a wildlife reserve we had visited last year. We wanted to bike round but it wasn't allowed
even though there was no one there - we think they dont want you to get eaten by the alligators of which there were many!
Roy however, had a go at feeding me to them - I was busy leaning out of my window taking a photo, when I looked back inside the car,
Roy was stood outside the car looking at a bird and the car was driving itself! You're not supposed to leave it in drive Roy! - Scream!!
He sure can move when he has to! And can you believe that man - he just laughed!

This is the road Roy left the car to drive itself!

  1. I giggled out loud to myself at the thought of Dad abandoning the car to look at a bird whilst you took your pictures.
