We
hired a car for three days and took off to see Terry and Sally who
were camped about 40 miles away.
We
enjoyed a superb day despite the rain, visited several stunning falls
and the queen of them all, Multnomah Falls with upper falls of542ft
and lower falls of 69 ft – quite awesome!
Vista
House at Crown Point viewpoint was a lovely art deco building with
the most fabulous elevator, they could not spoil the look of the
listed building so the elevator lifted up out of the marble floor –
photos provided! Sally emerged as if from a tardis – never seen
anything like it.
We
said au revoir again to our friends as the Dodge was being returned
to us that evening.
Not
wanting to go into details – I am sure those of you who know Roy
well will be hearing the full story at some time – but the guy had
to do another job which he did not charge us for, but then after he
left Roy drove it round the site and there was a vibration! Kind of
put a damper on the lovely day so now he is taking it to The Dalles
tomorrow to get a second opinion! Watch this space!
