FROM THE PLAINS OF COLORADO TO THE ROCKIES OF NEW MEXICO

A beautiful day travelling the Santa Fe Trail from La Junta to Eagle Nest our stop for the night on the Enchanted Circle, an area we have visited before in the rain!

We watched the 6000ft plains slowly change and finally we are in my beloved mountains. We saw many Pronghorn and Bison although they were farmed. Sunshine and 24oC - long may it last. In the evening we had a ride over Bobcat Pass at 9820ft looking for Elk but no luck. We are camped at 8250ft.

CHOLLA CACTUS - WE ARE BACK WEST!
