We had torrential rain and a massive thunderstorm last night which caused major problems with flooding and damage. We were hoping to go on the Agawa Canyon train ride, we are booked on Thursdays train as they cancelled today and Wednesdays, but it is not looking promising, they are struggling to repair problems with the rails. We remain hopeful but we shall see. So we have time to spare, Roy has been planning where we will go and I have been getting used to my lovely new laptop with Windows 8. I am so proud of myself, I managed to sort out iTunes and get all my music back on it - not quite sure how I did it though!
I almost forgot to tell you about Roy's gambling! We were given $10 free to use in the casino so last night when the rain arrived Roy took himself off to play the machines - and came back with $3 in cash!
We have just had a phone message saying the train on Thursday is cancelled. We will have to ring in the morning to find out what the chance of Friday happening, otherwise we will have to move on or we will be running out of time.
So finally we know that the train trip will not be happening for us, they have cancelled them up to Sunday so we will move on tomorrow - just not meant to be!
We went on a hike near the site and came across Crystal Falls, a local man said this time of year it is usually a trickle, not today, it was amazing!
