ESCAPE TO THE SUN AGAIN

JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK  JUMBO ROCKS CAMPGROUND
Hi friends, back in the USA for another 3 months. We flew into Las Vegas without a hitch, picked up our rig – without a hitch and camped at our usual place at Lake Mead for a couple of nights, then drove south to Joshua Tree National Park. Temperature lovely at 26oC with clear blue skies despite being at 4400 ft.

JOSHUA TREE

SKULL ROCK AT JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

Had a lovely afternoon walk in this strange landscape of jumbo rocks and Joshua trees then discovered we had a puncture on the truck so next morning before we left Twenty Nine Palms we got a new one fitted then headed to Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mts National Monument where we spent the night high in the mountains at a remote campsite.
Next day we drove to a campsite on the outskirts of San Diego where we are about to collect my niece Corinna and her husband Jamie who are spending a month with us while we tour the Baja – safety in numbers!

  1. I always think it is amazing that whilst it is so cold and wet in some places, at the same time it is hot and sunny in others. Enjoy the next adventure.
