Day two we spent 12 hours at the Fiesta – watched the Mass Ascension, Chainsaw carvings, five hours Music Fiesta with Darius Rucker, a top Country singer, Night Magic Glow and topped off with the Afterglow fireworks show – awesome!
And finally the Farewell Mass Ascension – we had an extra hour in bed and watched them from the campground – end of a wonderful weekend!
On Sunday we moved down the road to the casino for an evening and hiked part way up Sandia Peak and back again. There was a thought from Roy that we hike all the way and get the tramway down – 9 miles – but they had closed the tramway due to high winds – phew! We did just over 5 miles in hot sun which was just enough.
