After our delayed start when my ace mechanic Roy fixed our new water pump and fan belt, we arrived at Gettysburg National Military Park. We decided we did not have enough time to visit the museum so plumped for the battlefield auto tour ( I hear you Terry saying Argg!) We enjoyed it very much.
There was a huge number of memorials and lots of information boards about who was attacking who. I personally like the Battle of the Little Bighorn battlesite best but different area, different war.
We decided to stay in a motel again so hopefully tomorrow we will arrive at our trailer.

ReplyDeleteHey - We've done Auto tours. Take each venue in the way they best present it.
We had the same feeling at Shiloh, so many memorials. It takes time (years I think) and emotional energy to understand the story, the meaning and loss behind each memorial.
